Sisterhood

The UJCBR Sisterhood welcomes women of all ages and backgrounds to build lasting friendships while supporting our synagogue. Through engaging programs, holiday celebrations, community service, and fundraising efforts, Sisterhood helps create a vibrant and caring congregational community.

Brotherhood

The UJCBR Brotherhood is a community of men dedicated to supporting congregational life through fellowship, service, and shared experiences. The Brotherhood organizes social, educational, and service-oriented programs throughout the year that strengthen connections among members and contribute to the wider community.

Ritual and Music Committee

The UJCBR Ritual and Music Committee helps shape and support meaningful, engaging worship experiences throughout the year. The committee works closely with clergy and staff to enhance services, select and support music, and uphold meaningful ritual practice that reflects our community’s traditions and values. Members with interest in worship, music, or ritual life are encouraged to get involved.

Caring Committee

The UJCBR Caring Committee is dedicated to supporting members of our community during times of need. Through visits, calls, meals, and outreach, the committee helps ensure that individuals and families feel connected, supported, and cared for. If you or someone you know could benefit from assistance, or if you would like to get involved, please contact the UJCBR office.

Safety and Security Committee

The UJCBR Safety and Security Committee is committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all members, guests, and staff. The committee works to support preparedness, awareness, and best practices for security during services, programs, and events throughout the year.

Programming Committee

The UJCBR Programming Committee plans and supports engaging events and activities throughout the year for all ages. From educational programs to social gatherings and community celebrations, the committee works to create meaningful opportunities for connection and participation within the congregation.

Finance Committee

The UJCBR Finance Committee oversees the synagogue’s budget, financial planning, and stewardship of resources to ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability. The committee reviews income and expenses, supports long-term planning, and works to align financial decisions with the congregation’s priorities and needs.

Facility and Cemetery Committee

The UJCBR Facilities and Cemetery Committee provides input and ideas related to the upkeep, planning, and long-term care of the synagogue’s buildings, grounds, and cemetery properties. This includes reviewing facility needs, suggesting improvements, and helping maintain accurate cemetery records and information.
