Summer Day Camp in Baton Rouge

Camp Yalla is a four-week summer day camp at the Unified Jewish Congregation in Baton Rouge’s Garden District. In 2025, Camp Yalla will focus on ancient civilizations: Israel, Greece, China and Egypt.

In this hands-on STEAM camp, campers will:

  • Build scaled models using ancient techniques
  • Experience history through ancient recipes, games, art and storytelling
  • Discover the science and engineering behind ancient structures

Our camp celebrates Jewish values but your child does not have to be Jewish to attend

$210 per week for UJCBR members and Rayner families
$225 for nonmembers

We are offering a $50 discount to families that register for all four weeks

Counselor

Camp Staff

Camp Yalla’s director is a certified school teacher and member of UJCBR. Our counselors are college students and older high school students. Our junior counselors are young teens excited to connect with your camper
